West Behavioral specializes in providing intensive behavioral therapy using evidence-based procedures derived from the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).  Our goal is to help children to improve their functional skills and ability to adapt to their environment so they can reach their full potential.  Each child receives therapeutic programs that are comprehensive, individual, and intensive to ensure effectiveness and optimal progress based on their individual needs.  West Behavioral is dedicated to abide by the ethical standards outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as well as the Title 46 Professional and Occupational Standards found on the Louisiana Behavior Analyst Board website.

West Behavioral is a private intervention and consulting practice that provides individualized behavioral interventions and services. Our services are broad and reach multiple populations of individuals. At West Behavioral, we use applied behavior analysis (ABA) to improve socially significant behavior.

Applied Behavior Analysis utilizes the principles of learning and motivation to effectively improve socially significant behavior. Applied Behavior Analysis focuses on observable, measurable behavior and uses environmental influences to affect behavior. ABA interventions are different from other interventions because each intervention is tailored to the individual and their environment. Interventions are tailored based on the individual's current skills, needs, and the environment making each intervention unique to the individual.

Applied behavior Analysis seeks to change behavior while demonstrating a reliable relationship between the procedure being used and the change in behavior. Procedures used are backed by decades of research demonstrating their effectiveness. ABA is effective with a wide spectrum of behaviors and ability levels making it the ideal method of teaching for many individuals
